My favourite subject
The subject what i like the most this semester is History of Art. In classes we study the history, obviously, we see diferent artist and we understand the meaning of his paiting and why they painted like that.
This year we have seen the twentieth century, since the Russian constructivism until Pop Art, that was what we were seeing at the last.
An artist that like me very much was Andy Warhol. Before we studied it, he don't like or maybe I don't understood his work, but when we passed him, the image that I had from him change. He likes me becouse behind his work there was a hole speech, in the paitings that we have seen (like Marylin, Sophia Lauren, Coca-Cola), he was referring to the mass culture, the morbid or the quick consumption of the image.
I like the subject becouse we understand in first the period that a work was made, then we understood the intention that had the artist with his painting, like broke with the academy or what was the foundation that his work has.

ResponderEliminarSome days I love Warhol and other days I hate him. But there it's something that never change: I like his hair...
ResponderEliminarUniversity has changed my opinion about history, art was the key. It's nice when something changes your mind or opinion :)
